Get your sea legs as we sail out of Newport Harbor, putting Cuttyhunk to starboard and enter Buzzard’s Bay. Navigate through the scenic Cape Cod Canal before we cross the great Cape Cod Bay while keeping an eye out for whales as we head north on a long ocean stretch to the heart of Downeast Maine in Portland.
Prevailing winds are from the southwest, so we expect some beautiful downwind sailing coupled with some foggy conditions at times. Learn how to navigate through the fog utilizing radar and other navigational aids.
Travel Logistics:
Fly into Providence International (PVD) or Hartford International (BDL), taxi or rideshare to Newport.
Fly out of Portland International Jetport (PWM)
